Singer and fashion icon Rihanna has announced she is expecting her third child with partner A$AP Rocky, making the reveal during her highly anticipated appearance at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City.
The 37-year-old arrived as the final guest of the evening, dressed in a striking black and grey tailored ensemble paired with a wide-brimmed hat. Radiant on the navy carpet adorned with daffodils, she cradled her baby bump and smiled for the cameras, embracing the moment on fashion’s biggest night.
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, shares two sons with A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers. The rapper, serving as a co-chair of this year’s event, expressed his gratitude to reporters who offered congratulations.
“It’s time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” he said, adding, “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”
This year’s Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” marked the first event since 2003 to focus exclusively on menswear, celebrating Black designers and craftsmanship. The benefit supports the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and remains one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year.
