Cameron Boyce’s mother is sharing her gratitude for Adam Sandler after spotting a touching tribute to her late son in Happy Gilmore 2.
The late actor, beloved for his roles in Disney Channel’s Jessie and the Descendants films, as well as Sandler’s Grown Ups franchise, passed away in 2019 at the age of 20 due to complications from epilepsy.
In Happy Gilmore 2, Boyce makes a brief but meaningful appearance early in the film. As Sandler’s character, Happy Gilmore, approaches a check-in booth at a golf course, the camera cuts to two attendants watching a small TV. On the screen is a flash of Boyce in a scene from Jessie, where he played the character Luke Ross from 2011 to 2015.
Boyce’s mom, Libby Boyce, responded warmly to the gesture, saying the tribute “warms our heart” and expressing appreciation for the way Sandler continues to honor her son’s memory.
The subtle moment has resonated deeply with fans who remember Boyce not only for his talent but for the kindness and joy he brought to every role.
