After a 15-year hiatus, Disney is officially reviving its beloved Camp Rock franchise with a third installment. Titled Camp Rock 3, the film has been greenlit for both Disney+ and Disney Channel, reigniting excitement among longtime fans.
The Jonas Brothers — Joe, Nick, and Kevin — are set to reprise their iconic roles as the Gray brothers, bringing back the star power that helped define the original films. In a new twist, Demi Lovato, who starred as Mitchie Torres in the first two movies, will not return in front of the camera but instead take on a key role behind the scenes as an executive producer. Lovato will produce alongside the Jonas Brothers, marking a significant reunion for the former co-stars.
Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Lovato’s on-screen mother, will also return for the third film, further bridging the legacy cast with a fresh wave of talent.
This new chapter will introduce a younger generation of stars to the Camp Rock universe. The upcoming cast includes Sherry Cola (Joy Ride), Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland), Malachi Barton (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires), Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom), Hudson Stone (in his debut role), Casey Trotter (The Thundermans), Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean.
Originally launched in 2008, Camp Rock became a cultural phenomenon and a key part of Disney Channel’s golden era, spawning hit songs, record-breaking viewership, and a wildly successful sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, in 2010. Many believed the second film would be the final entry in the franchise — until now.
While plot details remain under wraps, Camp Rock 3 promises to blend nostalgia with a modern update, capturing the musical spirit and emotional resonance that made the original movies a hit with fans around the world.
Production is set to begin later this year, with a premiere date expected to be announced in early 2026. As anticipation builds, one thing is clear: Camp Rock is ready to make its long-awaited encore.
