Don Zimmerman, the acclaimed film editor whose work shaped major Hollywood productions including Coming Home, the Rocky series, Jumper, Night at the Museum, and Men in Black 3, has died at the age of 81.
His passing was announced by public relations agency Perception PR, who wrote in a tribute posted to social media: “Rest in Peace Don Zimmerman … He will be greatly missed.”
A native of Los Angeles, Zimmerman began his career in the entertainment industry in the early 1970s. He worked in the editorial departments on several notable films, including The Landlord, Harold and Maude, The Last of Sheila, The Nickel Ride, Shampoo, and Bound for Glory.
